An Overview of Human Resource Management

Human Resource Management is an important area from which a strong foundation of how people are achieved is coordinated with the entire corporate plan. This research focuses on the relationship between organizational strategy and competitor views as they relate to employee relations. It results in the author's talents and activities being reflected on as a result of the tutors' and peers' remarks in studying the huge theory of HRM (Panagiotakopoulos, 2016).

HRM is an important aspect of sustaining or increasing the health of the company because a firm is about as effective as its employees.
HR management is carried out by professional Human Resources practitioners and specialists whom are in charge of the first day implementation of HR-related tasks. Human resources, in most cases, will be a separate department within a company (Kaila, 2005).

Human resource departments differ in size, structure, and the scope of their specific positions throughout large businesses. It's not unusual for smaller firms to have a dozen of HR generalists who have each execute a wide range of HR functions. Individual professionals dedicated to responsibilities such as recruiting, migration and residence permit management, talent acquisition, benefits, remuneration, and more may exist within larger firms. Despite the fact that various HR professions are distinct and professional, duties may intersect (Renckly, 2003).

Human resource management originated from personnel management, which would have been a previous management technique for managing employees. To advance the understanding of personnel management, one must first understand the history of centuries of great psychologists' studies into human behavior and their responses to specific conditions (Renckly, 2003).

According to the study, Human Resources consist of 05 main functions (Wilson, 2005).

01.  Planning

Planning seems to be the most important function of management, and it's all dependent upon that seeing as it's a process of thinking about things before they happen and making plans to cope with them in advance. Poor planning leads to failure and has an impact on the entire system. As a result, HR managers must be aware of when it is appropriate to do things, when they should be done, and when they will not be done in order to meet the organization’s goals.

02.  Organizing

HR managers should be well-versed in the way of coordinating all linked to human resources and organization, since organizing and coordinating is the way of forming and arranging things in the appropriate order to avoid any confusion or disputes.

03.  Staffing

Staffing are among the most important aspects of human resource management since it involves hiring the right kind of people, giving adequate training, and positioning employees with in correct job while compensating them appropriately and adequately.

04.  Directing

Directing is a method of conveying to us what you intend people to perform for you or for an organization. It requires an understanding, discipline, and formality. A HR manager cannot be considered an overflowing HR manager unless he or she is capable of directing. Whenever  HR manager has the correct directing capabilities and skills it clarifies for employees what they have been expected to do, eliminates employee misunderstanding, or clarifies exactly outcomes organization expects of individuals.

05.  Controlling

HR managers should be able to think and decide what should be done and what should not be done while dealing with employees, rather than what must be done or what should not be done.
